lower unit is comming down slowly

i have a 1983 glastron whit a 4 cylinder an i always have to upper the foot cause is always comming down ,what should i do .

Make sure the reservoir in the pump motor is full of oil and that the manual release knob is closed, this all inside the boat.

Most likely the cylinders are leaking internally. Need a rebuild kit and a few tools, fairly easy to do

Maybe ask what type of pump. If older style with NO plastic resevoir or newer with plastic resevoir.
