Lower Unit Identification

Can any identity what model (alpha etc) or type lower unit this is please? It's not like any I've seen on videos I've watched.

You're posted under Mercury outboard forum asking (alpha ect) & have given a close up view looking into the fwd gear area best I can tell.

It's a date range of 1977 Mercury 175hp Black Max. Below is the only other identifying numbers I've found on the lower unit.

Now every other prop shaft I've seen in videos has a completely different forward/reverse shifting mechanism via a vertical bar that swings back and forth, not in and out of the prop shaft.
