Lower unit for b84 90 hp merc

Needing a lower unit for a 198

Needing a lower unit for a 1984 90hp mercury (6 cylinder).
Anybody know what other lower units will work with this motor?
I'm told all the inline 6 cylinder motors used the same lower unit..Any body know for shure?

"David, The LUs from the inlin

"David, The LUs from the inline 4/6 motors(1970-88) will work. Some of the inline 4 LUs had different gear ratios(1.85::1) than your motor (2::1) had. This may usually be fixed by changing props."

I lucked out the

I lucked out then, last night I got one on ebay off of a 1979 115hp for $250 delivered.

Previous owner had run this one with out oil in the lower, toasted the entire lower, case and all.
Gears are kinda rainbow colored. Will make a nice paper weight.."
