I have a mid 70s buick oddfire omc. iI need to replace the lower thermostat housing omc part # 314825, which im finding impossible to find, are there any newer models that will bolt on available ?:)

Is it cast iron and rusty? It may be possible to restore it to at least usable condition even if it is cracked in two.

I looked at the diagram and it is different. The housing he's talkin about bolts to the intake manifold and has a flat top that the distribution fitting bolts to. Really just an elbow. I should think that one could be fabbed from two pieces of plate and a weld elbow.

That HY is good, real real good.

Must be over forty years when i saw one last. My sister had a skylark.

Talking about about a blast from the past.

Keep us posted we want to know how it works out.

If that's what it looks like, then a Rover one will work. I have one on my Range Rover, but I'm using it. I can ask around and see if anyone in my Land Rover community has one. Shouldn't be more than a couple bucks.

When I converted my Buick Odd Fire from Raw Water Cooling to Closed Cooling, I used one that would fit.

Not sure what engine it came off, but it fitted beautifully.

Bruce.
