Low speed miss

have a 93 (i think) 15

have a 93 (i think) 150 hp xr6 2.5L it idles fine but when i try to take off it cuts out and takes a bit to plane but after that it seems to run fine. I am taking it for a tune up tomorrow should i have the carbs taken off and rebuilt?
