"I have a TAMD60D that has started running low rpm's at full throttle. It used to run slightly above 2800 as it should and in one day it dropped down to around 2000 on the way back home. I changed all filters and it went up but only to around 2500 rpm's. Used to max out at 23 mph now only does 17-18 mph.
Is there a max rpm screw on the fuel pump that might be the answer? If so where is it etc. I can not find a manual for the fuel pump.
Before I did the filters I had to run another trip and it started fine, as it always does and idled fine thru the no wake zone. As I opened it up it got on plan for a few seconds then lost power. I ran the rest of the trip off plan at about 1500 rpms with no problems or hesitations. could dirty filters cause the pump to need recalibration?
The engine has always had a little white smoke at idle. There is no change in smoke and no black smoke at full throttle."
