low compression cylinder head kit????

low compression cylinder head kit???? what is it? when i pull up the diagram for the crankcase this is something that is offered. does anyone kniw what it is?

I think it was an extra thick gasket that was offered to lower the compression on some engines.

They used these kits back in those days to lower compression due to no more unleaded fuel. I just checked the BRP site and it's NLA. The only thing you can do is use what is now available. Just a thought, you might want to retard your WOT timing a few degrees when the job is done.

both of u r correct.....it was 2 extra thick gaskets,and a decal,...
u reduced the timing,inst the gaskets...
i did that,on my,at the time a fairly new 84-185...it made it a daaawg outa the wtr....got back to the shop and un-did all that.....then i ran a product called TK-7.....some sort of lead substitue....never a prob till i sold that rig in the mid 90's..
