Loss of power

My 5.7TB EFI lost power above low RPMs. I put it in the water after 2 weeks out. After I started it and when out to the waterway it would not pick up any speed. The RPM's stated low even after I put the speed handle down. I just had new spark plugs put in along with a Distirbuter cap and distributer rotor replaced 2 months ago. It ran fine for 3 outings until this happened. Any idea?

Have you checked for water in your fuel? Changed the water/fuel separator this season?

Did not check that yet, however, it was replaced last year. Will check to see what comes out whe I take it off, Maybe I got a bad batch of fuel. However, since I always tow my boat and I get my gas at a land gas station (BP or Mobil) before I put it in the water it shoul be OK.

That should be the first thing he does since he checked all this the last time and he took off and replaced 1 sensor then changed it back when he did the spark plugs and distributor.

I looks like I got a bad batch of fuel. This is the first time I had water in my fuel water seperator.Checked tank and a lot of water in it. Maybe that was one reaon could not get above idle speed.

Check your vent line for the fuel tank....if it doesn't have a loop in it....loop it. Bought two new boats...kept getting water in the fuel, loops on the vent line cured the problem...
