loss of power 1985 305

i have a 1985 305 mercruiser when i turn wheel all the way to the left i loose all power turn back to right power returns what could this be?

your losing fuel or spark. Me i would make sure of all the connections. Follow the neg wire to the main ground on the block.

The coil plug is all the way down seated well.

Maybe something is grounding out when you turn left, have someone else drive you watch the motor see what wire is moving.

Ayuh,... Your post makes No sense....

It looses Horsepower, or Electrical power,..??
