Loss of forward movement while under power

it's been awhile since i've had any problems,went thru the postings and didn't see any that applied to my problem.heading back the other nite I was running just fine and then it was like something slipped, engine runs perfect but no movement. I think I spun a hub ,How do i find out and fix it.

A spun prop will normally give drive at slow speed but slip when the power is increased.

Scribe or mark a line on the end of the shaft and the prop, run it until it slips. Inspect marks to see if the still line up."

Definately sounds like a slipp

Definately sounds like a slipped hub. If yu can turn the prop by hand when engine is in gear that is your problem.

does anyone know if it is easier to replace a hub or replace the prop? And can i do it myself

you can do at home .price hubs / call shops/get local prices,weigh your options."
