Losing lower gear lub on new unit

On vacation away from my deale

On vacation away from my dealer and running new 350MAG with bravo III for the first time. In 7 hours I've had to add half a quart of high perf. gear lube to the reservoir.
Can not see oil in bilge nor oil on outer surface of outdrive. Should I stop using the boat the rest of my vacation until I can return it to the dealer? Can the unit be damaged if I just keep the reservoir full? I was hoping it was just air pockets but half a quart is a lot.

"Sounds like you have a leak in one of the seals.
You can continue to run it, as with the reservoir water will not get into the drive. Its more of a nuisance. Just keep the reservoir topped up.

It may be either your upper of lower drive shaft seal, which will leak into the exhaust cavity, then that oil will be blown out the exhaust when you get moving. You would never notice it this way.

"FYI, your drive lube monitor will have a low level switch that will cause your engine alarm to chime when it is low.
Since seal leaks rarely improve, watch the lube oil level closely.

The reservoir was nearly empty at that time."
