Hi!
First of all thanks for the forum! Amazing to see how I learnt so far from this forum.
I have a mariner 50hp 2 stroke from 1995.
I usually use the boat mostly every weekend but I have had few weekends away and the boat was not used for a month.
I today went fishing and discover that I am loosing power at full throttle. I came back to the boat ramp and started to diagnose the problem.
Checked the spark plugs - all fine.
Checked the coils - little to no corrosion.
Checked the carbies, they seem fine.
I then I removed all fuel from the tank and added fresh fuel. I went for a spin.... It was even worse! As if the they were no parks coming to the plugs.
I am kind of hopeless here. Any ideas?
ps: One thing I did not mention is that went I trim up, the engine works flawlessly but obviously its too high so it does not get full power. then when I trim down I loose power. can it be due to bushing prop?
