"Hello everyone hope to find some answers to a few questions I've looked through the post and lots of info but not what im looking for unless I missed something.

First, I have an 12ft traveller aluminum with a 15hp outboard and need info on it, The tag reads Montgomery wards ( possible Chrysler ) model VWB 52119A serial 08x20176

The pull rope got frayed and broked in half 2nd time replaced at the shop and they charged me 175.00 I thought this was outrages but they knew I wanted it fixed and wanted to get back on the water so I paid. Now I like to find out where I can order the rope and will replace it myself.

Also what is the gap on the plugs and what type of plugs are requested for this outboard.

"Me too as I need to replace the rope. Is yours with a wire running thur the rope too? I had no luck finding one so I'm trying to do the wiring thur the rope and try, but two tries didn't do good but seems to work but wrong material. I used plastic but it sounds like should have one that feels like cotton....."
