Looking for remote conversion kit any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello all, new to the forum. I’m looking for a remote conversion kit for my little 8hp mariner. The serial number reads 0D052040
any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The current kit number is 42805A6 - that is the kit to attach the remote cables (throttle and shift). This site sells it (or you might find one Ebay etc)

You would also need a control box and you would probably want to add steering as well - so steering kit (uflex or teleflex sells steering in a box) and you would need to replace the tilt tube on the motor because it is too short to support the steering cable - there is a list of what is needed on this link:

I have done the entire conversion on my own 15 horse without converting to electric start.

The attaching kit lists for about 300 bucks. You can get a basic control box for another 200 plus cables. The Tilt Tube/extras goes another 100 bucks and steering could run you another couple hundred - so this is really not a "inexpensive" undertaking on a motor that would typically sell for about the cost of (upgrades).
