" Ok first off I would like to
" Ok first off I would like to say that I like this site, since I came across it my buddies and I visit it daily. A lot of good info is passed around here by people who are in the know and don? mind sharing.
I have previously posted that I would like to convert a manual start 50 hp Evinrude to an electric start and was searching for a donor motor. I have been successful in locating some of the parts that I would need but would still rather have a donor motor. I have recently been searching for outboard motor wreckers local to the Peterborough Ontario area and have not come up with anything. There are marine wreckers all over the US and 2 that advertise from British Columbia but have yet to find any in Ontario. I find it hard to believe that with all the lakes and rivers we have to contribute to all the different marine sports we have here, that there are no marine wreckers here. Does that mean that there are no old boats and motors scrapped in Ontario or they just don? die? Or maybe there is one large sacred burial ground hidden away somewhere where old boats and motors just instinctively go to, to die a peaceful death??. lol
If there is anybody out there in Ontario Canada, that knows of any marine wreckers, especially if it is local to the Peterborough area, would you mind posting back the info and location. Any web info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
