"I've acquired an old Viki
"I've acquired an old Viking 6 hp outboard and am looking for information. I've recieved a bit on a couple of other boards, but need more if you can help.
Viking was a house brand of the Eatons department store. I think it was made by Chrysler, though I've recieved some information that it might have been made by OMC. However, the gas line fitting looks like the Chrysler ones I've seen.
The tag inside the cover has the following.
Viking 6.0 Bhp@4500 RPM
Model:64501
S#: 1747C
Any info. on who actually manufactured, year, oil mix, cross reference to original manufactures model etc. would be greatly appreciated.
