Looking for guidance on what part this is.

Hey guys. Bought this 25hp Johnson last week and the guy I bought it from stated that he didn’t know what was wrong with it. But his loss is my gain. Only paid $50 so I figured it was worth the risk. When I got it home I took off the cover and started assessing what I had bought. I came across this broken rod and I cannot figure out what it goes to or what it is. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Can make a better video if it helps.
 
That looks to be a 1973 model.----Part of the electric choke.----Not sure if anything is broken there.-----More video would likely help for other folks to admire the good deal you got.
 
1975 model ---Just reconnect or replace it.-----I can see the bottom half of the link and the clamp that connects the 2 halves.-----Just replace the broken linkage.
 
Just a few clicks on this page.-----Irems 24 , 25 and 19.-----And I believe the parts are on your motor.-----The links just need to be linked together so to speak.
 
Sorry-----It looks to me like nothing is broken / missing on your 1975 ( ? ) model.----Just needs to be connected / adjusted again.----Hurry to your local friendly boat shop.----Can sort this out in 3 to 5 minutes !
