looking for carbs for 1995 Evinrude 90 hp

We have some leakage in both starboard and port carbs for our 1995 90hp Evinrude outboard Model: E90ELEOC. Parts 043391 and 043390
Mechanic did not want to get into it, but said maybe rebuilt kits could do. OR, maybe carb bodies are warped in which case, will need replacements.
We realize these are hard to find.
Any help as to experience with rebuild kits as way of fixing leak... or with finding replacement carbs...appreciated.

Our extensive internet search and work with dealers has been unsuccessful.

You can actually lap the bowl surface on a flat plate or pane of glass on some 320 or 400 grit to get them back flat again. Do not over tighten on re-assembly. I did this process on a similar 115 and stopped the seepage.

We have some leakage in both starboard and port carbs for our 1995 90hp Evinrude outboard Model: E90ELEOC.

In all likelihood, you do not need new carburetors. These plastic carbs were well known for the float chambers warping and causing leaks. Yes, you can try sanding them, but there is a small ridge molded into the gasket surface that can get flattened out if you have to sand too much. You probably only need new Part# 0433000 Float chambers for each carb and a Part# 0438996 Carb Rebuild Kit for each one. I would also suggest getting 8 new Part# 0335362 Fuel Manifold O-Ring because they will likely leak after removing the manifold.

A couple of suggestions.
1) Be sure to remove your high speed jets from the original float chamber and transfer them to the new ones. The replacement chambers DO NOT come with jets.
2) There is a BB pressed into the side of the float chamber. It is meant to block of a fuel circuit that is drilled in the chamber after the molding process. Over time the plastic shrinks and you will get some weeping around that BB. Before you install your new chambers, use a little bit of JB Weld and seal over the BB so you never have a leak there.
