Location neutral switch on 2001 90hp Mercury 4 stroke

Hi,

I have a 2001 90hp 4 stroke Mercury outboard which sometimes dies when shifting into neutral.

I figured that the problem could be the neutral switch, but where is it located on my engine?

Serial number is 0T342217.

Anyone has an idea or maybe has other suggestions?

The neutral safety switch only prevents starting in gear... It Will not cause a stall.

I read online that also some outboard have a neutral switch that disables some cylinders to help shifting. But I am not sure if mine has one.
