Less than 20 hours, change oil?

Guy at my marina told me that he was being transfered to Colorado next week for six months and won't be back in CT. until March. He said that he has put less than 20 hours on his twin 454 Crusaders (1992, 775 total hours) and was thinking of not changing the oil as part of the winterization process. I told him that I'd change it anyway (cheap insurance as I see it). What do you think? He also said that he only had 2 hours on his genset this season and was going to leave that oil unchanged also.

I'm with you, I'd change both just because I couldn't sleep at night knowing that used oil is in there. That said, realistically, he's probably ok.

Let's see now: Old oil loaded with acid that's creating sludge and eating the bearings....Yeah, I'd change it as well!
