"Does anybody have a reasonable lead for a replacement oil pressure switch for the warning horn circuit (5-15 PSI activation, 10/32 stud for wire, 1/8" NPT port)?

My long term parts man has retired, the OEM part's price has had a rocket ride up, and can't find a local source that stocks the aftermarket.

I even when to a couple local auto parts stores - the aftermarket marine MSRP is less than auto part pricing......makes no sense to me.

any leads appreciated."

That's a standard "idiot light" switch available from any good auto parts store (and don't let anyone sucker you into thinking 'marine' is different).

Had two go bad on me over the years.

"I've had two go bad in just the last 18 months. The last time, in the middle of a long ocean run, it just decided to close the circuit and ring the alarms; oil pressure was fine. And, before that, I had one let loose 4 or 5 qts of oil in the bilge. Anyway, my only advice is to maybe buy a spare, and don't get the higher pressure ones ~20psi, the 5 to 7 psi is good."
