Lark 40 HP 1960

I have a Lark Evinrude 40 hp 35520 I need to replace the flywheel nut and key. Is there a lock washer? I think the part #'s are 305984 nut / 300345 lock washer but do not know the key part number?

The nut and lock-washer are shown on the magneto diagram. The key is shown on the crankshaft diagram.

When fitting the key it goes with the straight side parallel with the centreline of the crankshaft, not parallel with the taper.

Be sure to tighten the nut to the correct torque

Is the torque 105 ft lbs.? Just to be clear you are saying the long side of the key fits in the flywheel and the round side fits in the crankshaft.

Yes to the fitting of the key but sorry I dont know the torque for the nut
