May be you can help me as I am looking to put a security lanyard on a Mercury 500 outboard (year 1969).
The security system I got on my boat is working on the following way, wire not connected when the lanyard is in, and if the lanyard is out connection is made.
Is the principle of the security system is to connect the “engine” to the ground ?
Do you know how to connect the security system to my outboard, or better to the remote control ? (Enclosed is the electric scheme as well as the photo of the remote control / Key switch)
