"I bought a kill switch with no instructions. manufacturer has not got back to me with info. Does it matter if I put this, before or after the ignition key switch? Thanks"

Is this a dead man kill switch

Is this a dead man kill switch or an extra one to prevent theft? I installed an anti theft one on my boat. Didn't have to splice into any wires. Just pulled apart existing butt connectors on wiring harness. Mine now acts as a 2nd inline dead man switch that only I know where it is located. Used a 20amp rated toggle switch made by Blue Seas. When in off position the system believes the dead man kill is grounded.

"Just to add to previous post,

"Just to add to previous post, the nice thing about this intallation is that the engine will crank over on the starter for the wood be theif. It just won't fire. They will not look for a switch as they will just think it won't start for them."

Not sure what you are getting

Not sure what you are getting at but all it does is put a ground on the black/yellow wire coming from the switch boxes. The iginition switch does the same thing to cut the motor off.

"I have a dead man kill switch

"I have a dead man kill switch. It has 2 wires that need to be connected somewhere. I plan on connecting inside my 1971 50hp remote control. Choices of wires are A-Red-starter/rectifier,B-yellow-neutral start interlock switch/starter, C-grey-Choke/choke switch,D-Black-ground, E-yellow-switch box, F-white-choke switch-tach. Do I add my wires to E&D, or do I splice between them somewhere so I,m feeding through my kill switch? Thanks for your help.}"

What motor do you have. Normal

What motor do you have. Normally a kill switch gets connected to the black/yellow wire and the othe side to ground.

"1971 50hp 4cyl merc. The wire

"1971 50hp 4cyl merc. The wire could be Yellow/black, I'm only looking at a wiring schematic, which I down loaded from a site.I'll open up the control. If it is yellow/black, your saying to connect to it(not cut it or remove it from its terminal) and connect the other wire to any ground?"
