"I just bought a boat that has been in storage for over five years. The boat has a forty h.p. mecury motor, year model 2000. The problem is the previous owner was in the process of replacing the key switch when he fell ill and never reconnected the wires to the switch. I have figured out which wires go to which terminal except one wire. The wire has a warning buzzer inline. The key switch has seven termianls marked : battery, accessories, choke, switch, ground and two terminals marked magneto. The wire is brown or tan with a blue stripe. I have elminated the terminals marked battery and accessories because they have a constant 12 volt power supply which would causes the warning buzzer to sound continually."
