Just rebuilt

I just rebuilt my AQ 131D Volvo Penta engine. New points, condenser and coil. Now I lost ignition. Backfires through carborator. Any ideas?

Ok, you did points, etc... what did the "rebuild" consist of?

two things to check/double check/ triple check.
firing order
loose condenser(ground must be solid connection, not just tight.)

Make sure the timing is set so that #1 is firing on the compression stroke. It's very easy to get that wrong after removing the plug wires. Don't advance the timing all the way. Get it running first and then set the proper advance. If you're not doing it already, you'll probably need to prime the carb to get it running initially.
