I have a 1964 Larson evenrude 75 I left it out with cover but to much rain and it failed and I left the plugin needless to say it wont start I went through the box with a spray solvent cleaned all of the junk out and replaced solenoid but have no power what else would fail if wet and battery power too box

Look for a shorter than usual 20 ampere fuse. That would be the power fuse that supplies voltage to the "B" (battery) terminal of the ignition switch.

Also, a short of that nature has a habit of blowing the back out of the ignition switch, corroding terminals off the wires at that switch too. Be sure to check that.

thanks for replies on this . yes I think that the 20 amp fuse my be it I have no power to the ignition switch but I have a diagram and it shows the wire going to the solenoid to the voltage regulator could that be bad and if so how do I test it with meter. I have only found one fuse in the box and It is good but has some corrosion on one end were the wires goes in. but I have no power in the wires going from the two ignition leads from the solenoid
