"hi guys have a johnston 7.5hp was stored and pulled put and started in 44 gallon drum and was pumping well and all of a sudden dried up so flipped the top hoping it was just a blocked discharge tube and you guessed it no so followed it (the tube)stratched my head and then reached for the tool box mmmmmmmmmmmm could have been a mistake pulled where the hose came out of its like a housing hoping to find the impellar in their no!!! but did see a water jacket that was all salted up and full of crud and scale so went to work of that and came to the tube which had a union and i decided to remove that and clean it as had no compressed air and thinking it was metal rotated it with a cresent and it snapped turns out to be nylon or plastic so was not happy with myself,so need to change impellar and do a full service any advice would be a plus thanks as new to outboards,only experience is with seagull outboards cheers kiwi Grant"
