Have a Johnson 115 starts up o

Have a Johnson 115 starts up on the choke but seems to run out of fuel in put as i am a novice would like to know if its a blocked fuel/filters
fuel is coming out of a red lever( only when i loosen it) behind the plastic intake/cover so it appears there is fuel to this area have ordered a manual and have booked for a service in 4 weeks.

Outboard carbs get gunked-up very easily due to the fuel and oil mix. It is very common for them to require disassembly and cleaning. A simple automobile type pressure gauge connected to the output of the fuel pump, a fully charged battery, and a few revolutions of the engine will tell you if the fuel pump output is adequate."
