I have a 1986 6hp and a 1986 8hp. The 6hp needs full rebuild but the 8hp runs good but lower unit is bad. Can I take the 6hp motor off and put the hole 8hp motor on it? The blocks look the same and the bolt holes look the same??

I wasn't shore if I could do that.. I just wanted to make shore it all could interchange
