Johnson / OMC J2ROEDE needle valve

Somehow, the NV has disappeared from my little 2.5 Johnson. I noticed the carb was flooding and upon inspection I see the valve has vacated.

What holds these in place and is there any alternative to spending $50 on this part?

thank you

What parts are missing there are two needle valves one is the float and the other is the main needle. This looks like an old honda 90 I used to have with the throttle cable. There is a small c-clip to adjust the main needle height and the spring and retainer hold it in place. Did the needle fall off the throttle valve.

I greatly appreciate you responding. The NV I need is for the float, part 19 I think. I must have dropped it when I cleaned the bowl a few weeks back. I know, I'm an idiot. I didn't know about the float mechanism so it's my own fault. It just seems a little overpriced for the part.

Yea, I guess that's my best route. I sure wish I hadn't been ignorant about the carb, but whatcha gonna do :)

Thanks again for helping me with this. I sincerely appreciate your time.
