So ive read about 6 hours worth od info. My problem is lean on gas and overpumping oil. Multiple problems...air leak prior to pump on fuel line side, fuel pump diaphragm bad, fuel pump bad.

Here is my issue. Runs fine once i get it up on throttle. Wont idle right, wont take any throttle. Pump the primer bulb and runs fine for a bit. Can choke it to get it up on plane. I dont get any lack of fuel while running. I dont get any low oil/no oil alarms. Found a gas leak last night from fuel pump area. It has also smoked quite a bit on idle since ive had it. A few times it has stumbled when giving gas.

Question is for those that fixed it while keeping the VRO, what did you do? I have put new diaphragms in both sides of the pump. I like the thought of Variable Ratio Oiling and not 50:1 all the time.

Input may give me more ideas and discussion.

many a fuel pump have been replaced because of air leak or restriction.if check hose fuel pump to gas tank.check tank withdraw tube filter.ckeck anti syfon valve if you have one. You can't see an air leak!
 
I dont have the vapor system. Not sure if I have a anti-syphon valve. Im putting a new filter between the pump and carbs. Also a new pulse limiter today.

I did notice since I posted this earlier, There is a keyhole shaped oring on the electronic box part of the oil inlet side. When I took it apart, there was no oring in there. I will look to make sure it wasnt dropped in the lower cowling area.
 
All hoses looked fine. oring never showed up. Makes me wonder if it was ever in there to begin with and for how long has it been missing and still working.

Anyway, ordered the premix pump. Should be here in 2-3 days.

Adding oil to my 30 gallons of gas in the tank. Drain the line all the way to the back in a 5 gallon jug, then pour it back in the tank.
