*pumped fuel into clear container and let sit overnight found no water in fuel
*replaced VRO with new $200 bypass fuel pump from MasterTech
*compression is within 5 psi of all cyl. 77-82 psi
*set carb floats to level position when turned upside down
*set air idle screws to 6 turns out after light seat. ive tried 4 to 6 turns out
*cleaned throttle body on engine. cleaned all 4 holes behind side plate at top and 2 holes on left side behind plate
*Re Torqued throttle bodies
*replaced side cover gaskets on throttle bodies
*checked link and synch and found it perfect. all butterflies closed at idle and working in synch

Any help would be great. Im a 30 year Caterpillar diesel technician so im a hands on guy. Dont like the dealers if I can do it...

Ok guys I just posted a post about air in fuel pick up line. I found a ton of air in my line while engine is running. I installed a clear fuel line from fuel pump to the distribution tree. Engine runs and coughs misses. So I unhooked the bulb hose ar bulkhead fitting and stuck hose in a remote 5 gallon tank and air bubbles disappeared and engine smoothed out. Im running it in a tub so to have back pressure on it. seems perfect. So i guess ill replace hose from bulkhead fitting to tank. i do have a spin on fuel filter in that section too so i will have to replace the lines on each side of filter. What do you guys think? Air in system cause this?
