It looks mid to late eighties.

Tiller handle and shift lever alone put it 1985 to 1989 . At least as far as I can tell from your photos

There should be an plate on the transom clamp bracket with model and serial numbers on. The model number will tell all.

If that plate is missing then look for a round core plug on the engine itself. You may find the model number there.

J= Johnson
35= 35 hp
BA= AC lighting coil and ropestart
L= Longshaft (20")
CR = 1984
R= just a suffix .. no meaning

Belgium made ??

Fuel mix 50:1

Plugs (latest recommendation) Champion QL77JC4, gapped 0.030"

Not been used in a while therefore read Awakening a sleeping outboard

Parts and exploded diagrams to be found in the electronic parts catalog at http://shop2.evinrude.com/Index.aspx?siteid=1&catalog_id=0&s1=c23601c9cfd92dff1c8569439a63226c Except that you wont find that exact model listed.. quite common if its is a Belgium made one for the European market

Sorry dont know what you mean about the Seloc manual.

OEM manuals always miles better anyway. http://www.outboardbooks.com/
