"Working on a FD-17. Fuel pum

"Working on a FD-17. Fuel pump is done. One of the Nylon Wafers inside is warped. Could someone with a parts manual provide me with a part number for the pump? Does anyone know if I can use one of the new available ones? Darned old engines and parts locating is for the birds!

I got tired of trying to find

I got tired of trying to find parts for it so just cut a new wafer out of a similar thickness piece of Nylon material. Now pumps fuel and works good.. who knows how long...I doubt they are available - they want you to buy an $88.00 replacement pump. That will be my next option. Thank you for the reply and if you find out anything from your books - I would appreciate it!

"Jack... 1963 18hp Johnson. No

"Jack... 1963 18hp Johnson. No parts are available for that fuel pump. Glad to hear that you were able to repair it using your ingenuity. The pump appears to still be available for about $50.00 (whew!). I'm sold out of them.

For your reference, the following starts with the original part number, follows thru the superseding numbers, ending with the present part number.

378805, 394789, 395090, 397275, 397845, 388685

Thousands of parts in my remaining stock. Not able to list them all. Let me know what you need and I'll look it up for you. Visit my eBay store at:
