Looked at the list and couldn't find this model number. Anyone know? Johnson FD 13-R. SN 1980015.

And I seem to have a bad plug wire. How do I get in to the wire to replace it? It seems to be under the fly wheel and I can't get the flywheel off. I think it has been running on one cylinder..low power.

I expect you'll need a harmonic balance puller to remove the flywheel. Are there 3 tapped holes it it? if so they're for bolting on such a puller.

There will also be a key so watch out for that

"Thanks for the info. Thought it was a 10hp. Then again, with only one cyl. firing, it sort of is...

Much appreciated!"

"Ok, found the balance puller at autozone and the tap holes. What is the key I am looking for? Where? Can't wait for the manual to get here!"

"Don't screw your puller bolts to far into the flywheel as you will punch the coils. The key is to hold the flywheel in correct alignment till it can be torqued down.

They usually had quality points you can clean with a points file. Then the low teck way of checking the condensers is to cross the battery to the wire and neg to the can- count to 10 and see if it sparks when you touch the wire to the can. Set points to .020 and put some grease on the rubbing block which opens the points.

Now would be a good time to check the top seal by dribbling a little oil on it and spinning the crank shaft. If it bubbles, now would be the time to change it."
