johnson fast stike 150 problem

model#J150GLEDB serial#G04122618 motor cranks and idles fine but when i give it throttle to go it never gets above 4200-4400 rpms it normally runs 5200-5400 rpms it has a small fuel leak around the primer solenoid valve(its what boats.com calls it)could this be the problem a power pack or what????Ive already replaced the plugs,plugwires and the fuel pump and rebuilt carbs. any ideas please help..

Do a spark check as it may be running on 5 cylinders.------------Compression test is a good idea too.

checked compression and all was fine also checked spark with timing light and that looked good as well.Spark was checked while ideling on muffs.Any more ideas?

Take the air box cover off and get some premix in a squirt can. Take the boat out and run it. Squirt some fuel in each carb throat and see if get you one or two that pick up. If it does, you got a fuel prob in that cyl.

Pull the pulse limiter line off the VRO and make sure there is no fuel present.
