johnson binnacles parts

Hello, The other day while out on the lake my throttle controls broke for my 1960 40hp johnson. It is a two control shifter one for throttle and one for forward and revers gear. well the one that shifts it into gear broke not the cable but the plastic piece that the cable goes into.Would anyone no where I might be able to find this piece? I went to the marina down the road and for that year it does not show the controls with the motor. I don't want to buy the whole control set up if I can find the piece. any input would be great.
 
Should be lots of those around used.-------------------Try to post on the AOMCI-------lots of knowledgeable folks there with LOTS of old used parts available
 
Hello racerone , I went on the web site to guest web page and posted for the part hopefully someone can help me . I want to thank you for your help.
 
I have a bunch of those myself, but too much work for me to ship a $2.00 part.-------------------You really should tell people the part # / where you are / phone # or email info.-----------------Those folks will sometimes send them out for free.

Your verbal description DOES NOT CLEARLY indicate which part you need. A part in the control box or at the lever on the motor.-------------Time to post a picture so that there is " no doubt "
 
Hello racerone here is a couple of photos maybe this might help. I am trying to up load but I am not sure how to do it, I do not no how to make it smaller.

Hello racerone , I what to thank you very much for your help I was able to get that part here at marine engines . I am so happy I did not have to replace the binnacles.:cool: Thanks again Paul
