"I have a 1989 Johnson 15hp that I rebuilt due to a broken ring. It was bored .30 over in one cyl and I added new rings to the other. After completing the rebuild I dont seem to have enough vaccum to work the fuel pump. It will run on carb cleaner shot but will not start otherwise. New fuel pump, I carefully rebuilt the carb.Complete gasket set. For some reason the fuel pump wont operate. And also the compression seems low. 90psi in both cylynders.New hose and bulb assembly also but old style tank. I hope I wont have to tear it down again, but I am stumped at where to turn now. Thank you."
