"A couple of weeks ago, we had the boat out and it was running great! Docked the boat to have lunch for an hour or so, and then the engine wouldn't start. I can hear the starter turning, but the engine is not engaging and turning over. I installed a new Bendix drive and gear, but still nothing. Any suggestions or advice?"

"chg/load test batt...ck for soft spots in batt cables..clean batt conn...use ss nylock nuts,not wing nuts..ck all the gears under plastic cvr...all ok,i'd say starter--in my area,we have about a 50/50 luck on good rebuilds,of starters...i always recommend new."
