Johnson 90hp ocean pro 2001

I have just finish rigging my new/used 90hp ocean pro. If was relatively easy and every thing seams to work. I do have one problem. The elec. line coming from the oil tank has (two wire orangew/ black strip).
The motor has four wires, Orange, Purple, green and black. Attached is a pic of the two connectors Does anyone have a solution, or is the a 4 to 2 adaptor? Thanks Bob

That four (4) wire rubber connector.... what is it attached to?

I was quite sure it went to the oil pump, I an not going back to the lake for about 4 -5 days. I'll check for sure. Thanks Bob
