Hey Gang,
I seem to have a ghost in my 2004 Johnson 90. She motors along just fine, and then all of a sudden the over temp alarm sounds and she wants to shut down immediately. So I throttle down, turn her off, wait a minute or 2 and then start her back up.....the problem is gone. I then can run for 15, 25, 30, or who knows how many minutes before it happens all over again..... Yes she pisses just fine, and I have put a laser heat gun guage on each cylinder and they read between 130 and 150 degrees. I am thinking that the temp sensor that is wired to the computer is faulty. Any other guesses??
Mr Les
