johnson 9.9 yr.1989 stalls

got a 9.9 runs for 20 min. then quits. have to wait 20 min. before it will start and then the process starts over.has good water flow.thinking electrical but what part.electrical looks good and is clean.

make sure it's not overheating, if not it's most likely the powerpack, the next time it stop running remove the spark plugs and do a spark check on the motor. if not spark it's electrical, if spark it's could be compression/ non compression or fuel. do the overheat first then the spark check .

Put your hand on the head if it can stay there a few seconds and not burn it shouldnt be overheating if its so hot you cant touch it its overheat.I use a point lasor thermometer and it seems most run around 150-170 degrees.
