I need to replace my plastic carb top on my 1988 Johnson 9.9.
My old one is the style that has the bolt that screws into the top which holds the roller cam pivot. (I broke it accidently).
Apparently they only sell the newer style that has the plastic stud molded into the top versus the old bolt method.
Can anyone tell me if these two tops are interchangeable?
The one I am looking to purchase is from this website, but before spending the $100 I want to see if anyone knows.
Here is a link to the one I would like to purchase if it is in fact compatible with my older style plastic top.
