Someone could help with the correct timing for my johnson 8hp outboard please. The degrees atdc. I can't find that info anywhere

If your motor is a J8RERE, it is a 1994 model.
I have one.
I don’t believe there is any adjustment, it’s fixed. Timing does not go out unless the flywheel key is sheared, or ignition module is pooched.
What is your motor doing/not doing?
Here is a page from factory service manual.

From the service manual.
“Maximum Spark Advance Adjustment
No maximum spark advance adjustment is necessary. Correct wire positioning in the connectors is all that is required to maintain proper ignition timing. 4C/eng 1-42 “

My motor does not have the power it use to had. I rebuild it and has great compression, I changed the black box, the trigger and the captor that were failing. And i find out that it was blowind air out from the carburetor throug the air filter. Somewhere i read that the reason for that may be that it could be triggering the spark out of time. The plate housing the captor and the trigger has a screw regulation linking it with the accelerator and I think someone play with that. I though that regulation of that plate could be my problem of advanced o retarded spark fire.
Sorry if my english it' s not great, i' m a little rusty.
By the way, i do not have any decent mechanic near, i would prefer someone suitable to take care of. To take out the flyweel they use a hammer and the use of a multimeter is something weird for them so i took the restoration as a way to learn instead of throwing away the motor
Any help is much appreciated
