Johnson 85 HP Cooling Problem

Looking for an Okay or a not okay. I recently rebuilt and reserected an 1980 Johnson 85hp. I put it on muffs last night and it ran perfect. The reason why I'm writing here is because I would like to know if water out the exhausts ports is okay. Could the water be caused by too much pressure in the garden hose or perhaps one of the gaskets in the lower unit is un-seated?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,"

"i have a 1978 / 85hp, I can increase water pressure to the muffs and yes water does come out of the exhaust ports. It has always done this. Even more so since replacing the impeller."

The circled area labeled # 1 is where my question lies. When hooked to muffs water eventually flows out both ports in the rear of the engine. The reason I ask is because I don't ever recall water flowing from these ports when the boat was in the water. I only remember some exhaust coming out of them. Just want to be extra cautious before I tackle the next issue.
