johnson 70 2000 model carb leaking

So this is probably really common but I cand find the info I need.
My johnson 70 has year 2000 carbs on it.
I had running issues so I rebuilt the carbs but the kits I got had the wrong seat thread.
I left the old needle and seats in and upon startup the engine started to run bad and stopped. At first the fuel primer would pump up hard.
I noticed fuel coming out of the bottom carb from inside in front of the butterfly when I pumped the fuel and pressure wouldnt hold.
I read that this is probably a needle and seat issue so I made sure the needle and seat was ok and free.
After reinstalling the carb, pumping the fuel made fuel come out of the same area and also from the top black cap on the same side the fuel lines connect.
So I replaced the old needle but not the seat, unsure if this will work well.
But before I get to try the carb again, does anyone know why these two fuel leaks occur and why was there a second leak which never happened before.

You bought cheap Sh@@ty Chinese kits. The needle seats having the wrong thread is a dead giveaway. Buy good quality kits and start over

Yeah I bought cheap ones, now I also have distorted gaskets, lesson learned. But it was original needle seat issue I think I have.
