"Hi. Hope someone can help. Sorry about the description of parts but dont know the proper names. Anyway, I have a Johnson 65 hp which I have fitted to the back of my speedboat. There are two castings that came with the engine which seem to fit into the hole where the engine tilts/hinges. I cannot see what they do? Are they needed? Should I fit them? It took me 3 hours to drill 2 12mm holes through the transom which is reinforced with 1/8" stainless. The other castings look like they need another 2 fixings per side........ Appreciate any advice. Engine is mid 1970's i would guess. Cheers."
