"My guess You have over pressu

"My guess You have over pressure in the oil-tank. Next time You leave the boat, loosen the cap of the oil tank and see if it improves.
Another possibility is Your starting procedure.
Pump up the primer bulb.
Turn key to start.
Push it quick in 2-3 times.
Turn to start without holding the key in."

"how would the oil tank build

"how would the oil tank build up pressure the boat is keep inside? I dont hook up the fuel line till I get to the lake. pump fuel bulb, push on key to prime once then try to start .it will cough and sputter and smoke bad. some times i think it is not hitting on all 3 cyl. then it will start to warm up and be fine the rest of the day. does the oil tank cap have a hole so the tank can vent? thanks for the info"

"The cap should be 'vented

"The cap should be 'vented', but sometimes it gets clogged.
Try leaving the cap off/loose when stored as mentioned, and note my starting procedure."
