I have this problem where i don't seem to have power on all three cylinders at all time, sometimes it runs fine and over times it only seems to be running on 2 cylinders. I've been advised to put redx in the fuel tank as it may be a dirty carboreter is this the right thing to use. Any help would be great as i'm new to outboards.

Your problem sounds kinda similar to one I just had, you may have a carb issue or spark plug but I had a miss and no power without the miss and some times it would be OK, just could not isolate the miss to a cly. I had it running with muffs on and pulled the plug wires off one by one while it was missing and no matter what plug wire I pulled it ran the same. Had to replace the timer base. My mtr is a 2001 60hp
